1968 to 1969 Kwajalein Jr./Sr. High and George Seitz Schools. Go Serpents!
Kwajalein, Marshall Islands.
Editor: Raina Coble
H.S. Principal: Cless Olney
Grade School Principal: Len Williams
Condition: VG, no inscriptions, still tight and bright. You can see in the photo of the yearbook cover some small white markings on the around the EKATAK name. I can't figure out if this is some sort of paper stuck to the cover, or if it is marked with paint, or white-out. I actually looked at it with a magnifying glass to see if I could clean this off, but I don't want to chance hurting the finish, so I left it alone. It really does seem like a paint of some sort, might be able to brush it off with a stiff brush, but I am not going to do that, since I can't really tell what would happen if I were to try. If you are interested in a better copy of this same yearbook, I've got a much nicer one for $120.00. Just shoot me an email and I'll get back to you.
Blurb from Kwaj Kids Reunion in Dallas July 1-5, 2005:
The 6'3" and 230 lbs. stuntman is an imposing presence, but he wasn't always that way. Hodder grew up tall and skinny on Kwajalein Island in the South Pacific Marshall Islands (in the diner scene you can see "Kwaj Pie" on the menu). Graduating at 6'1" and 150 lbs, he had his fair share of "physical altercations." He went on Joe Weider's weight gain program and bulked up his body.
Kane appears in this yearbook as an 8th Grade student.
Chris Noel "A Date with Chris" of the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service visited Kwajalein for 3 days, and also appears in this yearbook in 6 candid photos, talking to students, and signing autographs. Chris Noel appeared in many television shows (Bewitched, American Bandstand, Burke's Law, Perry Mason, My Three Sons, China Beach) and films (Soldier in the Rain, Get Yourself a College Girl, Girl Happy, Diary of a Bachelor, Honeymoon Hotel, Joy in the Morning, Beach ball, Wild Wild Winter, The Glory Stompers, For Singles Only, The Tormentors, Wild Times, Detour to Terror, Cease Fire, B.L. Stryker) as well as many print ads. She wrote her autobiography in 1987 titled "A Matter of Survival."
